GCSE Photography research and analysis resource

This resource provides a structure to written image analysis as well as a visual guide to constructing informative, quality research pages within photography or indeed art and design. This ppt provides student example pages an example piece of analysis work broken into simple stages to facilitate understanding. This exercise can be completed in a group initially and the work sheet offered in the bundle also enables students to complete analysis of their own research with greater ease; to include some basic photographic terminology. Tried and tested with my own students it’s made the experience of image analysis more effective and all students are able now to make more than very surface, simple visual connections with their contextual sources as a result; written work can prove demanding for art and design students to create especially for those who are more academically challenged.
