GCSE Power and Conflict: Introduction - Home Learning

This is a lesson in the style of a worksheet that I’ve created for a middle-ability Y10 GCSE Literature group, studying the AQA syllabus. The aim of the worksheet is to formally introduce the concepts of ‘power’ and ‘conflict’ in an engaging and accessible way for home learning. The lesson encourages the students to create definitions for the principle terms ‘power’ and ‘conflict’, research key subject terminology for analysing poetry, and get to grips with annotating a ‘poem’; Michael Jackson’s ‘Earth Song’.
