Global Politics: When is Humanitarian Intervention Justified **UPDATED 2026**

This is an inquiry-based, structured and fully scaffolded lesson sequence on Humanitarian Intervention, with a specific focus on the NATO intervention in Libya in 2011. It is designed for IBDP Global Politics and is fully aligned to both the current syllabus and the new syllabus with first assessment in 2026.

The lesson balances conceptual rigour with accessibility. Complex political ideas such as sovereignty, legitimacy, power, justice and human rights are broken down into manageable sections without excessive heavy reading.
