A collection of resources introducing the concept of gradients. The lesson has student both drawing lines of a given gradient and finding the gradients of given lines. This lesson is a great prerequisite to using the gradient and y-intercept to draw linear graphs.

The lesson is structured using Rosenshines principles of instruction.
The starter is finding the distance between two coordinates using Pythagoras’ Theorem, this could be replaced if pupils are yet to cover this topic.

Worksheets and Answers are included.

A PowerPoint conversion from my SMART file is included too if you do not have access to the SMART NOTEBOOK
