Group Work Place Mat ( Scooby Doo characters)

I created this resource to help my lower ability students. The place mat is very effective as it gives the students more structure when given the task to work in a group.

I have used this with students with SEND and the students really respond to the structure and better quality work is produced. It worked especially well with a student who has autism as it gave him that structure which isn't as apparent for a student with autism when doing group work.

With this resource you can print it on paper and get the students to write on it and then stick it in their books as evidence of work or use it as a display to prompt students on what they need to do in group work.

I have also used this recourse by printing it in A3 and laminating it so the students can write on it with a white board pen the it can be cleaned and used again.

The recourse is easily adapted for example I made this with Scooby Doo characters but it can very easily be changed and more detail can be added or taken away to differentiate for different students.
