This task gets students to develop their knowledge of highest common factors by the back door. This is specifically aimed at younger students and does not go into prime decomposition. What it does provide is an excellent introduction to the topic, and each time that I have used this resource I have had very high student buy-in to the concept! I've also run this as a class 'league', awarding students with positive achievement points or other prizes.
