English KS3 SOW focusing on the graphic novels Heartstopper to prepare students for literature and language GCSE.
Scheme contains information on LGBTQ+ history and the importance of learning queer texts. The scheme features lessons on characterisation, setting, literary devices and how they are presented in graphic novels and creative writing.
13 lessons in total take students through the graphic novels, ending at the same place as the TV programme which can be used to help support learning.
