This powerpoint presentation features a few different activities to kick off/introduce Hispanic Heritage Month to students. It is best suited for secondary level (9th-12th grade) but could certainly be used at the middle school level as well.

First, as a warm-up, students try to identify a few famous Hispanics and what they are famous for. Next, there is a question-answer match activity with facts about Hispanic Heritage Month to practice interrogative words. Then, students complete a true/false activity with questions designed to make students question sterotypes and pre-conceived ideas about Hispanic culture and Hispanics in the U.S. Finally, an exit ticket, students say one thing they have learned from the lesson.

Answers are included in the notes section of each slide.
