This is a historical take on the classic game Taboo. The period covered is 1917-1945 and the theme is dictatorship and democracy in Europe. The Power Point includes teacher instructions on how to run the game as well as 20 historical figures. It works as an excellent end of module game or an end of term revision tool. This resource could be used for A-Level, IGCSE, Irish Leaving Certificate and US High School History programmes.
It is crucial that students can recognise historical figures. The images and the biographical key words in this resource, meld together to create a fuller picture of the significance of each historical figure.
The key words included can also be used as a consolidation of learning opportunity as teachers can probe students as to why those key words were included with that individual. This can be done either at the end of the slide or at the end of the game.
The font used is Verdana Pro and is more accessible for students with dyslexia.
