I have been a qualified Classics teacher for ten years and have worked in both the maintained and private sectors. I have held the position of Head of Classics in three consecutive schools. I have also taught several other humanities subjects over the years, including RS, History and English. I have taught all of these to both GCSE and A level/IB. The resources I offer have been over a period of ten years. They are all engaging for young learners and contain relevant challenging questions.
This lesson introduces Jack the Ripper to year 9. It provides them with list of the suspects and in groups they have to decide who is the most likely murderer. The students like the idea of playing detective.
