Originally made during school closures for Year 2. Two lessons. Children listen to the Anthony Browne book ‘Willy the Wimp’ on Youtube. Then they briefly describe his appearance and personality on a mind map. After, they try and come up with their own character by thinking of a new character trait such as being forgetful, always repeating the same word, clumsy etc. They write some sentences for their new character’s appearance and character trait with a box to draw their character. Chn in the second lesson recap the story and the story structure. then they make a plan with their new character and write the story. My model plan and story is provided with a checklist.
