Air power was essential to U.S. forces in the Vietnam War. This source-based activity examines types and roles of helicopters, types and roles of airplanes, air bases, the impact of Operation Rolling Thunder against North Vietnam and the responses of the North and an evaluation of whether superior resources made a difference in the end.
