The presentation is given and discussed to encourage students to think about what factors need to be considered when planning some research in psychology. The task (on final slide) is to pick one of the methods and create a poster or flowchart of 'things to think about' - i.e. what decisions need to be made and how you make them. Could be done as paired work and photocopied or done as a marketplace activity.
The homework is a suggestion of research which can then be designed using the sheets/posters made in the lesson; applying theory to a concrete example. Alternatively, this can be done as a discussion exercise. There are suggestions in the notes section of the PowerPoint on how it can be adapted to suit the specific requirements of the lesson/students.
