I began my teaching career over 25 years ago and have taught KS2/3 in London & Suffolk primary and middle schools. My resources reflect how passionate I am about teaching poetry. Tried and tested in the classroom, they encourage children to truly express their feelings and ideas with confidence and are fun and accessible to all - often revealing hidden talents which may otherwise have lain dormant. I largely tap into the changing seasons and the school events which accompany them.

This KS2 poetry resource encourages your pupils to use their 5 senses to write a spring poem. It consists of a complete lesson plan - including starter, examples and differentiation - and an accompanying power point. The power point is made up of a series of 25 photographic images focusing on the five senses. The images are designed to generate ideas and inspire children to experiment with words, ideas and feelings through using their senses.
