A lesson that begins with some silent reading. The conclusion is a one-page written task that asks students to evaluate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The PowerPoint contains links to the UDHR, which students are meant to skim through and then they are directed to a YouTube link. The PowerPoint is flexible enough that it could be used to stimulate discussion instead of a springboard to a written task. Links to all online resources are contained in the PowerPoint. Originally used with an IB Global Politics class, it could be adapted for use with younger grades.
