A simple PowerPoint presentation that was originally used to start off an HL unit on the Weimar Republic. The lesson assumes you are teaching a mixed HL/SL class and thus you have only one lesson a week for HL. The lesson begins with a brainstorming activity asking students to create criteria to define a revolution. Students then read from Allan Todd et al., History for the IB Diploma Paper 3: European States in the Interwar Years (1918-1939) Second Edition, Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2016. The lesson moves on to an activity where students create a graphic organizer detailing the Ebert-Groener and Stinnes-Legien agreements in order to assess whether the German Revolution really was a revolution. All digital links and resources are included in the slides.
