The unit has an end-of-unit assessment task which is designed with reflection questions and success criteria to enable learners to identify criteria for success and to consider approaches to successful assessment. The assessment brief is to design a poster explaining features of fiction and non-fiction texts.
The unit is designed with stick and match activities and suits pupils in late primary/early secondary and also is a unit which is designed for senior learners, particularly in SEN/ASN provisions to support assessment in SQA National 1 communication units.
