iGCSE First Language English Key Reading Skills

Six lessons taken from the Collins iGCSE English book, but adapted with knowledge of the 2020 and beyond spec for iGCSE First Language.

The series of lessons cover things such as:

• Skimming and scanning
• Understanding explicit and implicit meaning
• analysing implicit meaning in character and setting
• emotive and sensory language

I have used some experience as an examiner to help with the powerpoints, and I hope you find it a useful resource in your lessons.
