A complete scheme of work for the English translation of Fabio Geda’s In the sea there are crocodiles aimed at Key Stage 3 students (I’ve taught it with Year 7).
Assessments include letter writing, a research task, summarising and an essay on how the author creates sympathy. There’s also lots of opportunity for drama and oracy within the unit.
All lessons come with a presentation and are differentiated to three levels. Printable resources are also included where appropriate.
