Contains detailed content from AQA spec point 3.8.4.1 Recombinant DNA technology focusing on the process for In vitro gene cloning using the polymerase chain reaction (this is lesson 3 in my AQA Recombinant DNA technology unit). This resource contains a detailed, interactive PowerPoint with a range of engaging activities, quizzes, keyword focus, for your students to enjoy. The lesson is fully resources with 2 worksheets and final exam style questions to summaries and monitor learning.

Answers to all tasks are included, this resource is also available as part of a bundle.

Gene technologies complete unit AQA A level Biology

Full lessons that teach all the content from AQA specification 3.8.4.1 Recombinant DNA technology & 3.8.4.2 Differences in DNA between individuals of the same species can be exploited for identification of heritable conditions (A-level only) & 3.8.4.3 Genetic fingerprinting (A-level only). Genetic fingerprinting Using a detailed and engaging PowerPoint the students work their way through the content with a range of whole class quizzes, paired and individual activities. The lessons are well structured and uses real life examples of genetic diseases to enhance the learning of the students. Worksheets are included as PDFs for students to complete (all answers are present on the PowerPoint) with a variety of activities such as labelling diagrams and answering exam style questions.
