REQUIRED - An interactive whiteboard with a ‘blank’ function. Promethean Active studio.
This is a nice end of lesson activity which helps classes to practice some basic number skills (Doubling, Tripling, Adding, Subtracting) whilst also being fun!
Your chosen pupil will stand roughly 3 meters away from the board, with the screen showing. After they’ve aimed, switch the screen to BLANK and then allow them to walk forward and tap the screen. Repeat this 3 times and all darts are ‘thrown’.
Variants -
Get them to try to make a number but they can’t go ‘bust’ (for example, make 157 with 3 darts but don’t go over it)
Get one pupil to direct another by having one face away while the aiming part is happening.
