Introduction to Witchcraze OCR Y312

Introduction Lesson for OCR Unit Y312: Popular Culture and the Witchcraze. Can be used in Y12 or at the beginning of the course.

2 x 2 hour lessons complete with resources including worksheets, exam guidance, recommended reading, (including relevant textbook and revision guide links), and summer holiday homework.

I have used these introduction lessons successfully with my Year 12 class in July ahead of them starting Year 13 in the September. From experience, they often have limited knowledge of EME so the 2nd overview lesson is really helpful in providing them with context of the period.

N.B.

• When using the lessons, the numbers in the title correspond to the lesson number, e.g. 1. EHY - INTRODUCTION TO WITCHCRAZE PowerPoint should be used as lesson 1 with the other resources that have 1. in the title.
• When there is a pencil emoji, the expectation is for students to write this down.
• The date should update automatically on the title page (if opening in PowerPoint, Google Slides doesn’t support the function).
