These fun and engaging lessons are specifically designed by an examiner for AQA Paper 1 Pre 19th Century novel, Jane Eyre, although they would suit anyone wishing to study Jane Eyre. They include a range of both comprehensive and creative activities including differentiation and challenge.
I use these resources in my own classroom and they are a big hit, as well as very comprehensive!
The lessons include two powerpoints additional resources with a range of activities for students to focus on the Chapter 11 and 1 of the novel. They focus on:
- A close investigation of the presentation of Thornfield Hall and the Gothic elements.
- A close analysis of the introduction of Mr. Rochester
- A focus on how Mr. Rochester fits the mould of the Byronic Hero.
- An extract question for hoe Mr. Rochester is presented in Chapter 12 with a model answer.
