A series of 3 lessons which explore the poem ‘Kamikaze’ by Beatrice Garland. The lessons are planned for a year 10 middle/high ability class but can be easily differentiated.
There are 42 slides including a thorough analysis of several images in the poem including a model response in relation to the ‘tuna, the dark prince.’
The lessons culminate in a comparison with the poem and ‘The Prelude’ and a model essay comparison is included as a separate word document. Students can then continue the essay.
