A double (2x 50 minute) lesson on Kamikaze based around the new AQA specification poetry cluster: Power and Conflict. The lesson was rated outstanding. It is aimed a top set year 10/11 class but could be differentiated down easily. It focuses on challenge for higher ability.
It aims to teach the poem in its entirety and sets students up for completed an extended response at the end of the lesson.
It also contains a model answer in response to an exam style question.
