This notebook is based on the story Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. The slides cover three lessons (but they could be extended or shortened). Children examine the setting description of the island and then write their own as a short burst writing task. In these lessons there is a link to an island setting video clip for Madagascar, they get to plan and draft ideas first, there are slides which could be printed off as sheets for planning. There is success criteria and word banks for support. There are also warm up activities. There is a WAGOLL model and another lesson which has editing stations so they can revise and edit their work at the end.

This is a decent resource with some good slides but I probably wouldn't have paid a fiver for it in hindsight.
