Kensuke's Kingdom writing character description lessons (smart notebook)

This notebook is based on the story Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. The slides cover three lessons (but they could be extended or shortened). Children examine the character description of Kensuke and then choose their own characters to write about on an island. In these lessons they are not doing a character description of Kensuke but creating their own characters they could meet on an island and describing them. They get to plan and draft ideas first and then write. There is a WAGOLL model and another lesson which has editing stations so they can revise and edit their work at the end.
