The themes of family & travel are explored in this lesson based on children’s book ‘King é King é Family’. This second instalment follows the newlywed kings on their honeymoon. There are some suggestions for further activities including map drawing, suitcase packing, é postcard writing which encourages learners to consider what they value most back home é how they would feel leaving it. All reference to the main loving relationship in the book being between two men is treated at all times as usual, though teachers should expect questions by children about gay relationships/parenting.
