King Arthur - Stories with historical settings - made for year 4 - based on the 2 books shown. Choice of PPTs or Smartboard presentation included. Everything is fully editable so you can tailor it to your own children's needs.
Objectives: Writing a long story - Knight’s Quest - over 3 wks (Could make into a class book of knights) - discussing and recording ideas - composing and rehearsing sentences orally (including dialogue), progressively building a varied and rich vocabulary and an increasing range of sentence structures; proofread for spelling and punctuation errors etc. Using paragraphs to organise ideas around a theme; linking ideas across paragraphs using adverbials of time and place. Using description – creating expanded noun phrases by the addition of modifying adjectives, nouns and preposition phrases; I can use fronted adverbials; I can use commas after fronted adverbials. Recognising word families based on common words, showing how words are related in form and meaning; use of homophones.
