These questions are for a four-minute video, one of a set of eight. This sheet is CHEAPER THAN HALF PRICE if you get them all in the bundle. I’ve only listed the sheets separately in order to make the bundle.

Have a look at the bundle here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12812990

The BBC says the film "provides an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of how the Ancient Egyptians used science and engineering to build the pyramids. Pupils can carry out a practical investigation to find out the difference adding water to sand makes to the force needed to pull an object. As the video progresses, opportunities arise for teachers to discuss skills and talents with pupils and to highlight that in diversity of skills we have strength. Linking to the PSHE curricula by helping pupils understand the importance of various skills when looking at the make-up of a team. There are opportunities to explore life through the seasons in Ancient Egyptian times, looking at how and why people were able to be released from farming duties to support the building of the pyramids.”

Differentiated! Both versions look very similar, but “B” version has subtle clues. 13 questions for the 4-minute film. .doc and .pdf of all sheets, link to video on all sheets. Answer sheet. Very easy to mark.

The BBC KS2 Class Clips Ancient Egypt web-page has the video and extensive teachers’ notes, suggesting further work.

Please check that you can access the video before you download these sheets. All the links work when I upload. If my links no longer work, the videos may still be found elsewhere on YouTube, BBC Teach etc.
