KS2 EFT emotional regulation activity: focusing after break time.
A quick guided emotional regulation activity to use after break or lunch time to help a class quickly settle, focus and be ready to learn.
Like all children, your class may sometimes struggle with transitions. This easy to learn system will give your pupils a tool to help them manage their own behaviours and reactions.
EFT (“Emotional Freedom Technique”) is a simple, safe, scientifically proven method that helps to reduce stress in the body through the use of positive psychology and gentle tapping of acupressure points.
This editable PowerPoint was thoughtfully crafted by Alive2learn to assist educators to help young learners to thrive. It has 29 slides and was last updated on 1st March 2024. It can be used with no previous EFT knowledge as it explains the key principles of the technique and then guides you through two rounds of tapping with on screen prompts and tips. It was designed for use with students in years 3-6 to be used both as an introduction to the technique and as a regular settling activity. Once learnt, this valuable self regulation tool can be used at anytime to empower students to positively manage their mental health.
