The lesson develops pupils understanding of main clauses and subordinate clauses, they consider how these are used to create humour in an autobiographical extract and write an analytical paragraph. Modeling used throughout.
Can be taught as a one-off lesson or as part of a full SOW. I have used this lesson many times myself, pupils were really engaged and enjoyed the activities.
