KS3 French - Introducing Yourself (+ answers)

The resource consists of a sentence builder to introduce yourself (name, where you live, your nationality, the languages you speak) and 5 following-up tasks to practise (see sample); the answers are included. The activities are built-up to ensure the students will secure the knowledge, but also pay attention to their spelling in order to be more accurate. This would generally take an hour to go through (more or less depending on abilities).

The activities are:

• Translation into English
• Rebuild the sentences (French)
• Translation into French
• Reading activity
• Writing activity (paragraph including your name, where you live, your nationality & the languages you speak)
  Although not on the sheet, I will always ask my students to do a speaking with activity 5.

It’s a very versatile resource which can be used for a stand-alone lesson or as part of a scheme of work by specialists and non specialists alike (if used by an MFL teacher, you can spend some time explaining some grammar points/language).
