KS3- KS4 GCSE English Language Literary Devices/Techniques

These worksheets are great for pupils who are revising, learning or struggle to understand different types of literary techniques/devices.

These resources are great for visual learners as they contain a lot of colour and images. They are great for displays too! The techniques are divided into ‘Language’ devices and ‘Structural’ devices.

For each of the ‘Language’ literary technique provided there is:

2. Example of how it can be used
3. An image

For each of the ‘Structural’ literary technique provided there is:

1. An explanation
2. Example of how it can be used
   3.Explanation on how it effects the reader

There are also different activities in this mini bundle. There are:

1. Match-up tasks (matching the keywords to their definitions/ matching keywords to the examples)
2. Write your own example in relation to the keyword
