This is an exciting scheme of work and set of lessons aimed at KS3 History that looks at the role of castles in Britain while also looking at Knights, Life in Castles and Heraldry. There are a total of NINE lessons included.
This has been updated as recently as 2023 and could easily last a term. My resources contain a plethora of activities, videos and resources aimed at pushing students. My lessons have also been regarded as Outstanding by Ofsted. This bundle includes:
Lesson 1 & 2 - How did the first castles develop?
Lesson 3 & 4 - How do you attack and defend a castle?
Lesson 5 - What was life like in a castle?
Lesson 6 & 7- What was life as a Knight like?
Lesson 8 & 9 - Heraldry & Foreign Castles.
