I use this writing frame on A3 paper for KS3 classes to help them organise an investigation, and I link each part to AQA coursework so they are used to the words and ideas when they get to GCSE. There is an example LA writing frame where pupils investigate the link between the height you drop a ball and the height it bounces to, which shows you how you could adapt it for different investigations.
