I created this independent skills pack for year 8 to complete over the summer as a refresher and to help prepare them for year 9. It includes activities to practice skills such as reading, labelling, drawing, researching, experimenting, observing, recording, and pplying. There are six activities listed below:
• literacy task
• Lab apparatus labelling and describing functions
• Watch, learn, and explore-making indicators from cabbage and testing household substances.
• Label and describe the Bunsen burner.
• Science command words: learn meanings and complete crosswords, word searches, and matching
• Mark schemes are included
