These reward sheets work really well with year 7-8 students. I’ve used them as rewards for my lower school science lessons and it’s a great way of getting the students to keep a record of their rewards and also allows some healthy competition in the lesson. I find that my students are more engaged and work really well because they want to get a postcard home (see explanation below).

How to use:

  1. Edit on Word by adding in your rewards under the 3 stickers and 10 stickers column. I tend to set out some criteria for myself and my students so they know how they can receive stickers. For example, if they produce an excellent answer to an 6 marker then they receive a sticker. My reward for 3 stickers would be a green card (as this is what my school currently uses as their merit system) and then 10 stickers would be a postcard home.

2.Print out on sticky labels or paper and get the students to stick this at the front of their books.

  1. Once a student receives a sticker, they should cross it out on their sticker sheet to keep a record.
