Simultaneous equations - no multiplying. I teach a set 5 of 9 in Year 11 and find when learning new concepts the textbook we use throws them in at the deep end a bit too quickly for my liking (negatives and decimals in Q1c). This worksheet takes its time to get there and first practises just adding and subtracting equations to find values for x and y. Takes a small detour to checking solutions and then comes back with negatives and decimals to finish off. It does not go onto simultaneous equations where one or both equations needs multiplying.
