A lesson exploring the use of a frame narrative in the prologue and epilogue of Philip Pullman’s Frankenstein the play. It uses a range of drama activities and discussion excercises as well as independent writing tasks to get students to consider the purpose of this structural device as well as to deepen their understanding of the terminology and its use more generally. I have also provided some resources that you may choose to use as homework tasks or as extension activities for more able students.
