This was initially designed for Year 9 students in preparation for a GCSE in Geography but can easily be used with other year groups. This SOW is complete with fully resourced lessons, assessments, further reading and ideas for building in cultural capital to the curriculum.

This lesson focuses on trading relationships between African nations and China.
The objectives of the lesson are:
- Describe the political relationships throughout time in Africa.
- Compare advantages and disadvantages of Chinese investment in Africa.
- Debate for or against Chinese involvement .
