This is my favourite resource! I use this resource with all of my students and it really works! In no time, all of my students know all 14 + language devices off by heart and can comment on their purpose and effect.

Acronym: MATE PROOFREADS!
1. Fold and glue along the heading the tabs
2. Match with the definitions and the purpose & effects - stick these underneath each tab.
Valuable tool to use in the classroom to teach the techniques, use as a revision tool and/or use as a checklist for creative writing.
