With this activity, students will practice multiplying and dividing exponents while having fun as they color! Students will simplify 12 problems of varying difficulty and then follow the special coloring directions for each problem to reveal a beautifully colored picture. The coloring directions give the students even further opportunities to practice their algebra skills as they must apply math vocabulary (sum, denominator, numerator, exponent, base, etc.) to color the picture correctly. Even unmotivated students enjoy coloring, so give them the opportunity to have fun while they practice their algebra skills! The final products create awesome classroom decor, too!
