Le nouveau 2015 (the new kid) film activities

This resource includes:

-a powerpoint about the film (starter activity, speaking activities, French synopsis, introduction to the film/characters)
Notes under each slide for more directions.

-a worksheet for students to complete whilst watching the film. (I have created activities for every 15/20 minutes of the film, you could then pause and check answers if you wish- minutes are indicated at the top of each exercise)

-Answers for the worksheet.

The powerpoint can also be used or adapted after watching the film to discuss characters.

This was created for a KS4 GCSE class (Starter focusing on new GCSE exam) However, this can also be used for a year 9 group.

This is for a two hour lesson (powerpoint-30 minutes + 90 minutes for the film) but could be extended with discussions after watching the film.

Synopsis-Benoit, the new kid at school, is bullied by a gang of arrogant boys. Determined not to be pushed around, Benoit organizes a big party, but only three students turn up. What if this bunch of losers was to be the best gang ever?

For higher ability students you can also discuss the title:
nouveau (adj) means new but as a noun it means "the new kid/boy"
