I am a High School and Sixth Form Chemistry teacher teaching Science to GCSE and Chemistry to A Level. My GCSE resources generally follow the new AQA (9-1) specification, differentiated for foundation and higher students at trilogy and separate science levels. My Key Stage 3 resources are suited to mixed ability groups and are designed to be dyslexia friendly with bold coloured text boxes and bright diagrams. This Leaf Structure Study Pack contains the following activities:

  1. Labelling the cross section of a leaf
(diagram and keywords given to aid student)

  2. Matching keywords to definitions
(stoma, guard cell, chloroplast, wax cuticle etc . . .)

  3. Understanding the function of the stomata
    (gases entering and exiting)

  4. Learning the adaptations of leaves
(questions on surface area, stomata and leaf thickness)

I use this study pack resource as a workbook to guide students through the leaf unit. It is designed to be printed on A4 in either black and white or colour. It is ideal for upper middle school and high school ages. Loved by all! Enjoy.
