Resource Updated 2023
This lesson gets students to examine the historic environment of Whitechapel with a focus on the features of poverty, housing and work. The lesson has a focus on students using sources about Whitechapel in the 1880s in order to understand what the environment was like and how this impacted people’s lives. Students will then have an opportunity to practice the ‘Two Features’ questions using the information they have collected.

I am buying these resources to supplement another (inadequate) scheme that is paid for by our school - this means that I am buying individual lessons. The others have been good, but this lesson draws heavily on a previous lesson (which I haven't done). As well it seems to need a police training manual which is not included. So only one or two bits of the lesson are actually usable. Sad because the quality of the resources is fantastic.
