A worksheet to guide Key Stage 3 students how to measure angles of refraction.

Equipment needed: light boxes, power packs, protractors, rulers, glass/perspex blocks.

A demonstration of a little bit of the practical at a time, followed by students doing that bit, is a good way to do this, especially for lower ability students. Higher abilities may be able to do the practical with a simple teacher demonstration at the start.

Encourage higher ability students to try out many different incident angles for the light.
