Macbeth may have blood on his hands, but is he completely to blame for King Duncan’s untimely demise?
I have compiled a lesson that creates a class courtroom where students must complete a legal report after researching the play, quotes, context etc ready to argue for or against Macbeth’s sentence.
I cannot take credit for all of this, hence why it is free, I have left links to where I found some resources, or links I used for inspiration. (https://sites.google.com/site/ocaptainmycaptaincarpediem/macbeth-on-trial)
I couldn’t upload my Word documents which include some research guidance for students, including a newspaper article I made, but there are images of all resources used on the PPT.
My students had a Prosecution and Defence team, they got dressed up and I had a STL come in to listen to the debate and decide the winner.
I hope your students enjoy it as much as mine did!
