This lesson begins with a recap mind map of students knowledge of MLK
The lesson then looks at the different outlook and approach of Malcolm X. Students to watch a video clip with the aim of comparing and contrasting to the two civil rights leaders.
They will then use their knowledge to complete an exam question (7 marker) using the burger structure outlined on the PPT slide - Study Sources D and E. How did the attitudes of non-violence change during the 1960s?
If time permits, I tend to do a peer assessment of WWW, EBI and My Next Steps to strengthen students answers.
