This lesson plan aligns with Oklahoma academic standard PK.N.2.2, which includes students being able to match objects. To warm your students up for the lesson, show them the pairs of pictures in part 1 and tell your students whether or not they match. Explain to them that matching means being the same. Next, show them the pairs in part 2 of the lesson and ask your students whether or not they match. Allow them to discuss and debate as a class before giving them the answers if there is a disagreement. Finally, you can cut out the pictures in part 3 and allow them to match them together as a learning activity. Laminating is encouraged!
